Buying tools one at a time often costs more and leaves you juggling several batteries and chargers. A cordless tool kit brings several machines together on a single battery platform. In Morocco, the TOTAL tool pack in a 20V combo kit has become a popular way to equip a home, a workshop or a building site. But should you go for a 2-tool pack or a 5-tool case? This guide helps you find the right kit for your projects and your budget.

Why choose a combo kit rather than separate tools?
The idea behind a combo kit is simple: several complementary tools sold together and running on the same batteries. The benefits are real:
- One battery platform: every machine in the kit uses the same 20V batteries and the same charger. No more pile of different chargers in the cupboard.
- A controlled budget: a pack usually works out better value than buying each tool with its own battery.
- Complementary tools: drilling, driving, grinding, hammer drilling or tightening, the machines are designed for the different stages of the same job.
- Room to grow: once you have chosen a platform, you can add other tools from the same range later.

Which tools come in a tool pack?
Depending on the model, a cordless tool kit combines two to five of the following machines.
The drill driver or hammer drill
It is at the heart of almost every kit. It drills wood and metal and drives and removes screws. The hammer version adds a mode suited to brick and soft masonry. To choose one, read our article cordless drill driver: voltage, torque and battery.
The impact wrench
It tightens and loosens nuts and bolts with high torque: mechanics, wheels, steel framing, assembly. TOTAL kits include impact wrenches of 285 Nm and 400 Nm, among others. More details in our guide impact wrench: how to choose.
The rotary hammer
Essential for drilling concrete and fitting wall plugs in load-bearing walls, where an ordinary drill struggles.
The angle grinder
With the right disc it cuts metal, tiles or stone, and it can also deburr or sand.
Garden tools
Some packs bring outdoor tools together, such as the TOTAL TOSLI23024 20V cordless grass trimmer and blower pack (from 1,040 DH).

Batteries: 2 Ah, 4 Ah or 5 Ah?
Voltage (20V) tells you the platform and the power available; capacity in amp-hours (Ah) mainly determines run time between charges.
- 2 Ah: lighter batteries and more affordable kits. Ideal for occasional jobs at home: assembling furniture, putting up shelves, small repairs.
- 4 Ah: the right balance between weight and run time for a regular DIYer.
- 5 Ah: more run time for long days on site and for power-hungry tools such as the grinder or the rotary hammer.
With two batteries, one works while the other charges. If you need more run time, the TOTAL TFBCPK1424 charger + 2 × 20V 4.0 Ah battery kit is available from 1,035 DH.
Many recent kits use Brushless motors. According to the manufacturer, this technology delivers more performance, better run time and a longer service life.
Brico MIM tip: before comparing prices, check what is really included: number of batteries, charger, case or bag. A kit that looks cheaper may mean buying an extra battery. If in doubt, send us the reference on WhatsApp and we will confirm the contents before you order.
Which cordless kit for your profile?
Small jobs around the house
To assemble furniture, hang frames or fix a door, a 2-tool pack is enough. The TCKLI20278 Brushless drill driver and grinder 20V pack is the most affordable entry point.
Renovating a flat or a house
In Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier or Nador, concrete and brick walls often call for a rotary hammer. The TCKLI2008 drill driver + rotary hammer kit or the TOSLI250692 3-tool kit cover drilling, fixing and cutting. For heavy drilling, see also our SDS-Plus rotary hammer guide.
Mechanics, garages and farms
If you remove wheels or tighten bolts, choose a kit with an impact wrench, such as the TCKLI20275 66 Nm hammer drill + 400 Nm impact wrench kit.
Tradespeople and heavy use
Electricians, plumbers, aluminium joiners and fitters should aim for 4 or 5 tools with 4 to 5 Ah batteries: for example the TOSLI250696 4-tool kit or the TOSLI250586 5-tool kit with 2 × 5.0 Ah. To round out your kit, see our list of essential tools for home and site.
Use and care tips
- Fully charge the batteries before first use.
- Do not leave batteries in the sun or in a closed car in summer: heat wears them out early. Store them somewhere dry and shaded.
- Always remove the battery before changing a drill bit, a screwdriver bit or a disc.
- Wear safety glasses and gloves; add hearing protection for the grinder and the rotary hammer.
- Use the right tool: rotary hammer for concrete, impact wrench for bolts, drill driver for wood and metal.
- Regularly dust off the motor ventilation slots.
Frequently asked questions
Do the tools in a 20V combo kit share the same batteries?
Yes, that is the whole point of a combo kit: the tools in the case run on the same 20V platform and use the same batteries and charger.
Is a 2 Ah or a 5 Ah kit better?
For occasional use, 2 Ah is enough and keeps the tool light. For site work or daily use, go for 4 or 5 Ah to recharge less often.
Is a 5-tool kit useful for a homeowner?
Yes, if you renovate or do DIY often. For a few jobs a year, a well-chosen 2- or 3-tool pack is more economical.
Do you deliver everywhere in Morocco?
