Misting houseplants, treating a vegetable patch, looking after olive or citrus trees: all these jobs call for a garden sprayer, but not the same one. Between the small trigger model, the pressure sprayer, the backpack sprayer and the battery sprayer, the right choice depends mainly on the area to cover and how much comfort you want. Here is our guide to choosing a garden sprayer in Morocco, with the prices of the models available at Brico MIM and the safety rules to follow.

The main types of sprayer
All sprayers do the same thing: put a liquid under pressure to project it as a jet or fine droplets. What changes is how that pressure is created and how much liquid you carry.
- Trigger: each squeeze of the finger releases a little liquid. Small volume, ideal for misting.
- Pre-pressure: a few pumps pressurise the tank, then you spray continuously with the trigger. From about 1.25 to 5 L.
- Backpack: a 12 to 16 L tank carried on your back, with a lever-operated hand pump and a lance. The go-to option for trees and large areas.
- Battery: a battery pressurises the tank for you, no more pumping.
- Petrol: engine and pump for orchards and farms, with large volumes.

Trigger sprayers: houseplants and balconies
To moisten the leaves of houseplants, refresh cuttings or mist a few window boxes, there's no need for heavy equipment. The Gardena 0.75 L trigger sprayer (129 DH) produces a fine mist suited to delicate plants. Its 360° function lets it spray in any position, even upside down, to reach the underside of leaves. The translucent body shows the level and the built-in filter protects the nozzle.
Pre-pressure sprayers: vegetable patch and flower beds
This is the most versatile type for a home garden. A few pumps are enough, then you spray continuously without tiring your hand.
Compact sizes (1.25 to 2 L)
- The TOTAL 2 L pressure sprayer (144 DH): 2.5 bar, aluminium pump lever and a nozzle adjustable from straight jet to mist. A good first sprayer for plants and around the house.
- The Gardena 1.25 L pressure sprayer (299 DH): 3 bar, adjustable brass nozzle that swivels 90°, 360° function, safety valve and a second opening with measuring cap for easier filling.
Vegetable-patch size (5 L)
As soon as you treat several rows of vegetables or flower beds, the Gardena 5 L pressure sprayer (429 DH) saves trips back to the tap. It offers 3 bar of pressure, a 150 cm hose, a shoulder strap, a wide 120 mm opening for spill-free filling, a foot rest for easy pumping and a trigger that locks in the on position for long sessions.
Backpack sprayers: fruit trees and large areas
For olive trees, citrus, a hedge or a large garden, a backpack sprayer is the right tool: the weight rests on your shoulders and the lance reaches foliage higher up. At Brico MIM:
- Sprayer 16 L HDS-16 backpack sprayer (195 DH): an affordable manual model with pump, hose and lance.
- TOTAL 16 L 4.5 bar backpack sprayer (374 DH): nozzle adjustable from jet to mist and a fibreglass lance.
- Bellota 12 L backpack sprayer (439 DH): 2 to 3 bar, 60 cm steel lance, 120 cm hose, adjustable cone nozzle, about 3.2 kg empty.
- Bellota 16 L backpack sprayer (459 DH): 1 to 3 bar, 60 cm steel lance, adjustable cone nozzle plus an extra fan nozzle.
Think about the weight once full: a 16 L tank filled with water adds about 16 kg to your back. If you're new to it or the ground is sloping, a 12 L model is more comfortable. To plan your olive tree care, see our olive tree pruning and care calendar, and find secateurs, loppers and saws in our tree care tools range.
Brico MIM tip: keep one sprayer only for weedkillers and another for foliage care, and label them clearly. Even after rinsing, traces of weedkiller can damage the plants you want to protect.
Battery or petrol: spraying without pumping
The battery sprayer
Pumping before every treatment soon gets tiring. The Gardena EasyPump 5 L battery sprayer (1,269 DH) pressurises the tank by itself thanks to its built-in 4.2 V / 2.0 Ah Li-Ion battery, supplied with a USB cable. Stated run time is up to 2 hours on mist and 1 hour on spray jet. A telescopic lance, 150 cm hose, swivelling brass nozzle and nylon filter complete the package. It's the comfortable choice for a regularly treated vegetable patch or for anyone who doesn't want to strain. To compare with other cordless garden tools, read our guide to battery garden tools.
Petrol sprayers for orchards and farms
For agricultural plots, Brico MIM also offers petrol-engine models:
- 25 L 767K petrol backpack sprayer (990 DH): manual start, 7 L/min suction flow, about 9 kg.
- GPX168/22A Pack Pro mobile sprayer (2,099 DH): 6.5 HP engine, up to 40 bar, mounted on a trolley with hose reel.
- 22A / RB20-B petrol sprayer (2,190 DH): supplied with two 50 m hoses and two lances.
- 30A trolley sprayer with 120 L tank (5,390 DH): GPX petrol engine and built-in hose reel.
These machines need the upkeep of a small engine (fuel, air filter, spark plug): our advice is in the article petrol engines: power and maintenance.
Safety: the rules to follow
A sprayer is often used to apply plant-protection products or liquid fertilisers. Whatever the product, the golden rule is simple: read the label and follow it to the letter (dose, directions for use, approved crops, pre-harvest interval). We deliberately give no dosages in this guide: only the product label counts.
- Protective gear: suitable gloves, safety glasses, a mask suited to the product, long sleeves and trousers, closed shoes. With a petrol model, add hearing protection.
- No wind, no strong heat: spray early in the morning or late in the day, in calm weather, to avoid drift towards you, the neighbours or a water source.
- Mix outdoors, never in the kitchen, and keep children and animals away during and after treatment.
- Don't eat, drink or smoke while spraying; wash your hands and change clothes afterwards.
- Respect the sprayer's limits: Gardena pressure sprayers state a maximum operating temperature of 40 °C, so never pour hot liquid into them.
- Release the pressure before opening the tank, using the valve provided.
- Store products in their original, closed packaging, out of children's reach.
Sprayer maintenance
- Rinse after every use: tank, hose and lance, by spraying clean water. Dispose of rinse water as directed on the label of the product used, never into a well or drain.
- Clean the nozzle and filter: a clogged nozzle gives an uneven spray. Never unblock it by blowing through it with your mouth.
- Let the tank dry open, then store away from sun and frost: UV weakens plastics and seals.
- Check the seals at the start of the season: loss of pressure or a leak at the lid often means a dry or worn seal.
- Battery: charge the EasyPump before long-term storage, following the manual.
Frequently asked questions
Which sprayer should I choose for a small garden?
For a balcony or a few shrubs, a 1.25 to 2 L pressure sprayer is enough. For a vegetable patch, go up to 5 L; for fruit trees or a large plot, choose a 12 to 16 L backpack sprayer.
How much does a garden sprayer cost in Morocco?
At Brico MIM, expect 129 DH for a trigger sprayer, from 144 DH for a pressure model, from 195 DH for a backpack sprayer, 1,269 DH for the EasyPump battery model and from 990 DH for a petrol sprayer.
Battery or manual pressure sprayer?
A manual model is cheaper and needs no charging. A battery model saves pumping and keeps the pressure steady: it's worth it if you spray often or over a large area.
Can I use the same sprayer for water and treatment products?
Yes, as long as you rinse it thoroughly. However, keep one sprayer only for weedkillers so you don't risk damaging your plants.
Do you deliver all over Morocco?
Yes, Brico MIM delivers to every city in Morocco, with cash on delivery.
